Badgers Rejoice
The Global Policy Warming Foundation is led by lord Nigel Lawson...
Nigel Lawson: BA Philosophy, Politics and Economics. No environmental or scientific qualifications.
...and the badger-killing, environmental budget-slashing Owen Paterson...
Owen Paterson: BA History. No environmental or scientific qualifications.
...is giving this year's lecture to the massed climate change deniers.
Last year's speaker preaching to the choir was the ex-Aussie prime minister John Howard...
John Howard: BA Law. No environmental or scientific qualifications.
...and the Global Policy Warming Foundation has on the board Benny Peiser...
Penny Peiser: has the word science in his degree designation. Twice. Unfortunately, this is political science, English, and sports science. So...
...Bernard Donoughue...
Baron Donoughue: BA in something non-scientific, Doctor of Philosophy.
...and:
Peter Fellowes: Batchelor of Divinity. Like a degree in RE.
Martin Jacomb: Barrister.
Baron Turnbull: influenced the Blair new tory witch project towards the Iraq war. That was an environmental triumph, wasn't it?
They're all dead clever, and they're all either barking mental or have some financial interests in muddying the climate change waters.
I still can't see why holocaust deniers can be banged up, while these idiots remain free. I can't see why some historians, vicars and politicians think they know it all, when the planet's scientists are coming out as climate change in increasing numbers, to the point of near-unanimity, and to the point where, well, the deniers, were they not supported by such big name weird-o's, would simply be dismissed as the nutters they are.
The fact is that you can buy the odd scientist. BP have some telling the world that petrol's good for the environment, the government have some telling th world that fracking is a good idea. But you can't buy them all and the majority of the un-bought agree.
Paterson is an entirely disagreeable man, happy to promote killing wild animals despite real doubts about whether that action can be in any way justified. Spiteful. Nasty. Evil.
As for the vicar, well, if you believe in resurrection and walking on water, why not deny climate change despite all the evidence to the contrary.
A climate change denier running the environmental department, an anti-paedo tsar with child porn loaded computers. What was that thing about wanting power being the very thing that should stop someone attaining it.
